A VAT group is a VAT management method used to optimise the deduction of VAT between companies within the same group.
The procedure made it possible to consolidate VAT management at the parent company, which was assigned a specific Group VAT number. By doing so, administrative complexity was reduced and VAT invoicing and refund operations simplified. In addition, the use of VAT credits within the same Group was optimised.
